Hedingen

Arnistrasse 16 was originally a bauerhause, an old farm house over 200 years old, which has been renovated and updated to fulfill the expectations of a modern family. It is a traum wohnung, with unique design, it retains the historic feeling of old world workmanship with exceptional modern design sense.

Interior

The house is a combination of old and new. The wood strucutre from over 200 years ago has been retained with a modern interior style and quality materials. The hause has a Minergie rating, meaning that makes very efficient use of heating needs. The floors are stone, the cool gray color mixing perfectly to the white walls and old wooden cieling and supports. The apartment spans three full floors but also includes a sizable studio on a fourth level.

Rooms

The house includes three main floors. On the ground floor is the kitchen and living room area, at end is the door to the garden area. A suspeneded stair case brings one to the first floor, which includes two rooms and a bathroom with shower. A smaller room here is suitable as office or guest room, and the opposite room could serve many purposes from a large bedroom, entertainment center, large office, etc. On the second floor there is an open bath with tub, and the main bedroom. Above this there is a studio area on the fourth level. The main bedroom on the top floor has excellent sun exposure, allowing one to wake with the morning light on one side, and in the evening to enjoy the deep rose sunsets of the Swiss landscape.

Kitchen

The kitchen is defined by a long rock countertop with induction cooking surface, ample storage, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc. A washer and dryer are included on this level as well, with easy access to a drying room. The induction stove works very effcieintly, allowing one to boil water or prepare coffee in mere minutes.

Media Connections

Each room in the house has a media connection, which includes cable, phone, and internet, allowing for full media and communications technology throughout the house. A central box allows full control of the connections to the central Cablecom line.

Garden

From the main floor one can stroll outside into the garden and grill area. Long summer days can pass for an eternity and the Fall stars will calm your mind relaxing in your own little sanctuary. The included suspended grill is perfect for parties or the simple pleasure of grilling outside.

Travel Connections

Hedingen is well connected to the Zurich and Zug areas. The house is a few minutes walk to the train station, and twenty minutes later you exit the Zurich Hauptbanhof or in Zug in the opposite direction. There is also easy access to the autobahn leading towards central Switzerland, Zurich, or to Bern, Basel, and Germany.
